About

I am a bilingual and bicultural (Japanese/English) licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) and licensed professional counselor (LPC). I am sensitive to cultural issues and experienced with diverse clients in clinical and college settings, including teens and adults of different ages, ethnicities, cultures, and beliefs. I have a MA in Counseling from Eastern University in Pennsylvania, a Master's in Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma, a MA in Religion from Cairn University, a certificate in Gerontology from the University of Washington, and a BS in Psychology from the University of Maryland.

I will approach your treatment depending on your needs. My major approaches are Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioral, Gestalt, and Mindfulness. Therapy is a relationship, so I work on creating trust. Trusting relationships help us to encounter our pain, to heal, and to grow. You may find joy and hope again.
