About

At some point, most of us get a bit lost in feelings anxiety, anger, disconnectedness -- or maybe we simply feel stuck in life. These painful places are not just emotional experiences; they can also be seen as spiritual. They carry the potential to transform us. The key to unlocking such transformation is to listen deeply enough to discover the meaning and value inherent in our most difficult experiences. I can help you to do that; it is the work I love to do. My goal is to help you discover greater freedom by connecting with your own deepest wisdom.

As a psychodynamic therapist, I am concerned with how you've experienced relationships throughout your life and in utilizing our relationship as therapist and client for your healing and growth. I have extensive experience working with LGBTQ clients. I am also well-versed in the dynamics of addiction and recovery.

I am particularly interested in the integration of psychology and spirituality. I welcome consideration of your religious and spiritual experience as part of our work. I am open to many ways of understanding this level of experience, and I have no expectation that clients hold any particular faith perspective.

I do not direct bill any insurance providers, primarily because I am committed to the autonomy of the therapeutic relationship. The client’s needs should determine the course of our work, not the policies or preferences of an insurance company. I am committed to maintaining reasonable rates to accommodate this approach. I will be glad to provide you with monthly statements that you may submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
