I am an Alliance member who has less than ten years of post-graduate experience practicing in the field. I have full intentions of participating consistently over the duration of the mentoring group experience, September—June, attending each scheduled group meeting except for in cases of illness, emergency, or very minimal planned absence. In situations where a lack of commitment is demonstrated, group leaders have the authority to excuse the individual from further participation and invite a waitlisted Alliance member to join the group.
Notes: Space for Alliance Mentoring Groups is limited. Priority for group placement will be given to those currently working in the field and to those who have yet to participate in an Alliance Mentoring Group. Other factors include timeliness of when each application is received, stated availability and preferences, and sub-committee efforts to assemble groups that reflect balance and diversity among Alliance members.
Course Instructors will meet with each participant once the groups have been finalized and before meetings begin.
A sub-committee of the Alliance Education Committee, Eliza Baughn and Will Collins work to coordinate the Alliance Mentoring Group process. These committee members look forward to receiving and processing your application and will be using the following email address to administer this course.
