I moved to Seattle from the East Coast to pursue my graduate training, culminating in the earning of a Master's degree in Existential-Phenomenological Psychology from Seattle University. I have spent the past couple years in a community mental health setting where I worked primarily with teenagers and parents in individual psychotherapy. In addition to practicing therapy, I am also a researcher who is involved in a number of projects that seek to offer a better understanding of different facets of the human experience. Right now, I'm working on a project exploring the experience of envy.
I see teenagers and adults who are struggling with social issues, family conflict, experiencing a crisis, or just having a tough time. As co-founder and psychotherapist at Inside Out Therapy Alliance, I work with people to help them to heal and gain a better understanding of themselves and their lives. A strong, trusting client-therapist relationship is the cornerstone of my approach to therapy. We'll explore your past and present experiences, dreams, and the here-and-now experiences we have in therapy to come to a better understanding of you and your life. Providing a safe, welcoming place where we can work together to explore important issues is of the utmost importance to me. My work with you will be with an attitude of openness and curiosity rather than judgment. Therapy will always be catered to who you are and what your needs entail.
Throughout my education, training, and work with a wide variety of clients, I have become especially interested and experienced in:
My standard fee for a 50-minute individual therapy session is $100. We accept checks and cash.
I do not bill insurance directly. However, if you have insurance coverage, you may be eligible to be reimbursed by your insurance provider for all or part of my services — I can provide you with a receipt. I cannot guarantee reimbursement and strongly recommend that you speak with your provider ahead of time to find out more information.
It's very important to us to be able to offer quality psychotherapy to clients regardless of income level; we're happy to offer a limited number of sliding scale spots to our clients. Check with us and we'll try our best to accommodate you if we have availability.
