As a trauma-informed therapist, I recognize both the importance of trauma in the development of emotional and behavioral disturbances and how widespread traumatic experiences are. Trauma is a single or repeated deeply distressing personal experience which, if not worked through, can have serious long-term negative consequences, such as persistent feelings of panic, anger, or emptiness, compulsive or abusive relationships, addictions, or self-harm. I help people work with the parts of them which may be "stuck" in situations of past physical, sexual, or emotional abuse, early neglect, or persistent manipulation.
I effectively work with adults from a wide variety of backgrounds, as far as gender, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, and ethnicity go. I work especially well with gifted people, stressed out professionals, and folks seeking to process a traumatic past.
The single most important predictor of successful therapy is the relationship between the therapist and the client. With this in mind, I offer a free initial session, where you can meet me and ask me any questions.
My fee for a standard 50-55 minute psychotherapy session is $215. Please submit payment before or at the beginning of each session.
I do not contract with insurance companies directly; however, if your health coverage includes mental health benefits, your insurance company may reimburse a significant portion of my fee. To check whether your insurance will cover a part of my fee and exactly how much that reimbursement will be, please contact your insurance carrier's customer service using the following guidelines I created:
