Thank you for your interest in joining the Northwest Alliance for Psychoanalytic Study. We welcome all individuals committed to the ongoing study and practice of psychoanalytic psychology in the Pacific Northwest. Your membership allows us to offer engaging content and events.

Become an Alliance Member

Types of Membership:

STANDARD MEMBERSHIP
COST: $125
Standard Membership provides access to all membership benefits. Membership is renewable annually.

 

STANDARD MEMBERSHIP - AUTO-RENEW
COST: $125
Standard Membership provides access to all membership benefits. Membership is renewed automatically each year.

 

COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH AGENCY
COST: $95
Agency membership is open to individuals who are employed at least half time in a community mental health agency where the majority of clients receive low- or no-cost therapy services. Agency members receive all the benefits of a standard member. Membership is renewable annually.

 

ASSOCIATE/CANDIDATE MEMBERSHIP
COST: $75
Associate/Candidate membership is for therapists who have an associate level license and candidates in psychoanalytic institutes. Associate/Candidate members receive all the benefits of a standard member. Membership is renewable annually.

 

STUDENT/PRE-LICENSURE MEMBERSHIP
COST: $50
Student/Pre-Licensure Membership is open to individuals currently in higher education within the field of psychology. Student/Pre-Licensure members receive all the benefits of a standard member. Membership is renewable annually.

 

RETIRED MEMBERSHIP
COST: $50
Retired Membership is open to individuals who are fully retired from their practice and other means of employment. Retired members receive all the benefits of a standard member. Membership is renewable annually.

 

Membership Benefits:

  • Reduced Rates for Alliance Events
    Alliance members receive a significant fee reduction for Alliance-sponsored events including professional meetings where local clinicians present on current psychoanalytic thought.
  • Alliance Discussions
    Alliance members can share resources, referrals, and announcements with the other members of the NWAPS community.
  • Educational Opportunities
    Classes and seminars are offered each Fall, Winter, and Spring by seasoned Alliance members and other professionals from the wider psychoanalytic community. 
  • Directory Listing
    Our online directory of psychotherapists which is available to prospective patients looking for a therapist.
  • Members Connect
    Creative resources for members to network, socialize, and have fun together.
  • Publication Archive
    The publication archive is our online library of past newsletters, legislative updates and announcements, and other resources.
  • Access to Psychoanalytic Library
    Membership includes access to the largest psychoanalytic library in the Northwest. Our reciprocity agreement with the Seattle Psychoanalytic Society and Institute (SPSI) allows Alliance members full use of this resource of books and journals. This also includes five psychoanalytic journals on CD-ROM (by appointment at 206.328.5315). The library is open Monday - Friday, 10-6. Please note: The library's hours can vary; please call before you visit to confirm that it will be open when you plan to go.
