Song of Salome is the story of the inner and outer worlds of Lou Andreas Salomé. In the 1880’s, she was a woman ahead of her time, an author and original thinker who championed the uniqueness of women, pitting her ideas against the likes of Frederick Nietzsche, Sigmund Freud, Leo Tolstoy, and the young Rainer Maria Rilke. Lou must confront the light and darkness of her Jungian archetypes.Inner and outer worlds come together in the evolution of Lou’s remarkable soul.
