My practice is confined to leading Balint groups, helping to start them, and supervising others who lead them. This form of empathy training applies the power of group process to the close examination of difficult interactions and relationships. It is appropriate for all practitioners, such as psychologists and physicians, whose work involves attention to therapeutic alliances with clients. Belonging to a Balint group provides both relational skillbuilding and practitioner self-care.
