I am a Licensed Counselor and Psychotherapist (LMHC) in Queen Anne. I work with adults, both individually and in couples counseling. My approach to therapy is grounded in the relational and psychodynamic traditions. I see psychotherapy as an ongoing process that allows us to move closer to a more whole version of ourselves, and into more fulfilling relationships. Through this therapeutic lens I work with patients around relationships, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and other psychological concerns.
Sessions will focus on your emotional experience, past and present relationships, uncover patterns, and look closely at how your unique past and personality may be informing your present self, struggles, and difficulties.
Originally from Scotland, I have called Seattle home since 2015. I hold a Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwest University, and a Master of Arts (Hons.) in Psychology from the University of Dundee (Scotland). I encourage you to reach out and contact me, to see if I am a good fit for you.
Fees:
Individual Therapy: $185 per session
Couples/Relationship Counseling: $200 per session
Insurance & Reimbursement:
While I do not bill insurance companies directly, I am considered an Out-of-Network (OON) provider for individual therapy. Most PPO and point-of-service insurance plans offer OON benefits that may reimburse you for a significant portion (often 50% to 80%) of my individual session fee. I provide monthly superbills (specialized receipts) for individual therapy that you can easily submit to your insurance portal for direct reimbursement.
Please Note: I do not provide superbills or insurance documentation for couples/relationship counseling. These services are focused on relational growth rather than medical treatment and are an out-of-pocket investment.
Why Out-of-Network?
Working outside of the traditional insurance grid allows me to prioritize your privacy and clinical needs without the restrictions or diagnostic requirements often imposed by insurance companies.
Your Rights:
For more information on your rights and my billing practices, please see my full No Surprises Act / Good Faith Estimate Disclosure provided in my intake paperwork.
